The story of the Hard Rock Cafe began in 1971, when two hungry Americans decided to open a burger joint in London. No one thought it would last: the owner only let them rent for six months.
Today, there are nearly 200 Hard Rock Cafes in more than 50 countries.
The first heirloom arrived in 1979, when Eric Clapton asked to hang his Fender Lead II guitar above his favorite stool. From there, the world's largest rock collection was born, with over 74,000 pieces.
